Hello together,

there is actually a German language pack? Or where can I change the language because I would be willing to translate the whole thing.

Greetings

Localization is in progress.

We are also looking for some voluntary assistance on translating FP website ( http://floreantpos.com ). This should increase participation from different countries.

If you are interested you can just start with translating First page of http://floreantpos.com. When done you can upload it any blog ( like http://posterous.com ) and provide link here.

thanks again!

Hi,

I'm willing to translate floreant to spanish. Goddard, I can read that Localization is in progress so I think I will translate it by renaming labels.

Is there any recommendation you could give me about this? My dev-enviroment is in netbeans.

Greetings.

Quick instruction is here:
http://floreantpos.com/support/topic/translate-floreant-pos-in-your-language---check-updates-in-subversion

We are still working on this localization process, so there may be some features are broken -

Best way to compile source code is using Eclipse. Import project and then use ant compiler. You can also compile from command line(check wiki how to do that). What you may help is you can translate strings in message file, upload anywhere and give link in forum.

I haven't check the forum for a while, so I didn't notice the reply. Thanks for the link, I'm going to check that.

As soon as I check that, I'll be writing here again.

Hi Goddard,I translated the SVN-version in german a few days ago.
It seems there are still a lot of messages (like error and internal messages) to be translated.
If you can provide these files, I can translate them too.
I have the impression the SVN-version still has some bugs.
I get too many errors while doing some operations.
I will try in a few days to write them down and report them.
At the moment I have unfortunately very little time.
If you provide me the source of the stable version, I would like to test this too.
The link to messages.zip is: http://k-s0gyu.posterous.com/
I would really like to translate the page(s) of http://floreantpos.com, but believe me, at the moment I absolutely have not the possibility.
I personally believe that this is not so urgent at the moment.
Finally I would like to thank everyone who made Floreantpos, you made a great job and I (like everyone else) am very thankfull.

Best Regards

I was looking at how to change the messages in messages.properties and could not make it work for a long time.

I suggest you remove the multiple copies of messages.properties

Keep this one [this is where your messages.zip is built]
config/messages.properties

Delete these 2
src/messages.properties
bin/messages.properties

The ant build still works fine after deleting these 2 files and then changes made in config actually appear in the application [otherwise changes in config are ignored]

Are translations still being worked on? I'd love to help-start-finish Latin American Spanish.
